Nestled in the pastoral side of the E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park, the community center is a cozy lodge in the landscape.  Heavy timber trusses, over scaled wood trim details and dark stained wainscoting are utilized throughout to celebrate the aesthetics of rural barn architecture.  Warm and natural color tones capture the Arts and Crafts styling while unique lighting and unexpected volumes bring a contemporary edge to the Center.  The entry lobby, referred to as the Hearth Room, welcomes patrons coming to a large reception or business meeting with comfortable conversation areas and a crackling fireplace.
