Springdale Presbyterian Church
Joseph & Joseph designed solutions to several
problems in the construction of a new community space for the campus of this historic
church. An original chapel had been built in the 1880s, and a contemporary A-frame
church was built nearby in the 1960s. This growing congregation needed additional
space for gathering and needed to address access for the disabled. There were
design elements to be considered and elevation changes of existing floor levels.
The creative solution tied together the disparate elements, unifying the new addition
with the older buildings.
Creative solutions allowed for the completion
of the project in a timely manner, and working closely with the building committee
allowed for input from the congregation.
