Brown-Forman Garneau Building

This whiskey warehouse renovation involved new, historic-replacement windows, a new elevator, new HVAC and all new mechanicals. A new roof was installed and the exterior of this brick structure was cleaned and tuck-pointed. Restrooms, office and conference spaces were installed. The building is included in the security and fire system project Joseph & Joseph designed for the entire Brown-Forman campus.

The building evokes the unique feel of the original use with new heavy- timber structural members, which are visually interesting as well as functional, as they support the interior floors. An interior water garden with plantings and a pathway add to the appeal of the first-floor lobby. This project met the Department of Interior Standards for Historic Preservation.
